Classic
Floor-length canvas made of silk, satin or synthetic imitation. Very long, reaching the floor. Curtains have a wide rectangular shape and are attached using a drawstring (often sold together with curtains), or less often with a hook.

Combination
Curtains for the kitchen, consisting of 2 or more fabrics. They look fresh, especially with good design taste.

With lambrequins
Frequent regulars of Provence style kitchens. Neat and slightly sloppy curtains in delicate tones go well with a fence in one direction.

Combining colors

The requirements are almost the same as for ordinary curtains, with one exception - this is the kitchen. And curtains for the kitchen must withstand constant wet and greasy fumes, be easy to wash, dry quickly and not fade from washing powders.
Definitely not suitable for a dining room:
- Silk. A very capricious material that requires not only timely care, but also careful handling. It is unlikely to survive contamination with grease and an attempt to wash it in a machine.
- Velvet. It wears out quickly with constant tugging and does not tolerate frequent washing.
- Atlas. As a type of silk, it has the same disadvantages.
Where would it be better to buy:
- Taffeta. Traditionally it is woven from silk, but it would be much more correct to use cotton-synthetic fabric. It is not at all afraid of dirt, dries quickly, and can be cleaned with wet water.
- Kiseya. Also called a thread curtain. It consists of hundreds of thin ropes and is therefore perfect for the kitchen. There are no visible stains or dirt on it at all.
- Metal curtains. A trend that came into fashion not so long ago. Very heavy curtains that allow light to pass through only through the perforations.
When choosing curtains, for example, for a narrow window in the kitchen, you need to take into account transparency. A small amount of light will force you to turn on the chandelier, which means unnecessary electricity consumption and is simply inconvenient.
Therefore, it is advisable to study the transparency of curtains. There are only 3 indicators:
- Transparent fabric. Transmits more than 70% of light, practically without delaying it. The room will always be filled with natural light, cooking and cleaning will be comfortable. But they do not hide the inside of the apartment from prying eyes, so it is better to hang them on the 5th floor and above. This is muslin, mesh tulle and so on.
- Scattering. These include materials that transmit a lot of light, but scatter it throughout the room. The room cannot be seen through them, but the light penetrates almost completely. This is, for example, satin.
- Opaque fabric. The quality of light retention is comparable to blackout technology. Due to the dense structure, light basically cannot penetrate inside. Such materials include a pack of velvet.
Curtains for a small kitchen should be made of easily washable material that is not afraid of contamination. It is likely that the stove will be close to the curtain and it will be difficult to care for it. If the room is large, you can use any material, including silk.
Children's rooms
When choosing a design style for a children's room, it is necessary to take into account the psychology of the little owner.
The golden color and all its shades are too active and can cause overexcitement of the child. Therefore, here it must be used in doses.
When decorating children's rooms, it is typical to add bright spots to the interior. This is achieved with decor: bright, but not flashy colors of pillows, lamps, chairs and armchairs.
This will create a warm, cozy and, at the same time, cheerful children's atmosphere. A child will feel comfortable living and studying in such a room.

4. Scandi. A delicate, white curtain should cling to a thin drawstring. It can be placed either at the central height from the floor or at the level of the window sill. Definitely on the floor, without a multi-layer arrangement with tulle.
Rules for decorating premises
The combination of gold colors in the interior creates a special chic. This color has many shades, you need to juggle them with caution.
Competent designers adhere to certain rules for decorating rooms in the color of gold:
- A minimum of details, especially large ones, made in gold.
- Maintain one shade of color in the interior (maximum two).
