Stylish studio - redevelopment of a former communal apartment

Another successful example of how you can turn a non-standard small living space into a cozy apartment. Before us is the former part of a communal apartment in St. Petersburg. The footage is small - only 33 square meters. m, but a cozy and practical small size to the maximum.

The perfectly chosen color scheme in gray tones helps to maintain the note of a modern interior, with a refined touch of restraint. It is worth considering that the apartment is located in an old St. Petersburg building, with its own character, so the furniture and decorative items were selected taking this factor into account. High ceilings made it possible to organize storage space. Without taking up useful space. The elegant copper-colored staircase suited the interior perfectly. A brass chandelier in a retro style matches the accessories.

Large arched windows add a special touch to the design. Fabric Roman blinds cover the windows from street light and prying eyes.

Thanks to a glass interior partition, the bedroom area was separated from the living room, while the designer retained maximum daylight in the room.

The floor is light parquet, laid out in a classic herringbone pattern. The upholstered furniture is upholstered in soft velvet, a pleasant green color. The radiators were painted a noble black color. The ceiling space is decorated with moldings in a contrasting color.

In the living room, the sofa was decorated with bright pillows and a blanket was thrown over the armchair. Textiles always add home comfort to the interior. There is no unnecessary furniture here - only a low TV stand and a hanging shelf. The black color of the cabinet furniture is combined with a small rug that lies on the floor in front of the sofa and helps to highlight the living room area.

The bedroom is very cozy. The large bed is equipped with hanging shelves on both sides. A calm picture was placed above the headboard. Classic table lamps were replaced with pendant shades on long cords and a pair of spotlights. Stylish black switches with a matte texture fit perfectly into the overall design concept.

The cuisine is classic, discreet. Not only the walls, but also the fronts of the cabinets were painted a beautiful gray-blue color. Their matte texture combines effectively with a glossy marble backsplash. The natural wood dining table is complemented by modern chairs.

Another interesting design solution is accent color splashes. So the front door was painted a non-standard yellow color, and in the bathroom the blue wall became such a spot. Colorful moments help add dynamics to a fairly calm interior.
